12 team mock results for feedback 5 Months ago Karma: 0
Hi there,

Following is a mock I ran at ESPN over the weekend, and I'd like some feedback. 12 team, but not composed like our league will be.

I have not done a ton of 12 team leagues in the past, let alone ones that had 5 OF spots, so I wanted some practice. There are flaws, and it should be noted that I had to run auto for 151 on, but in all honesty, I wasn't seeing a ton of obvious flaws with what I ended up with. Not that they are people I would have chosen, but from a numbers perspective, I think it wasn't too bad.

(7) - Chase Utley 2B
(18) - Jacoby Ellsbury CF
(31) - Joey Votto 1B
(42) - Adam Lind LF
(55) - Kendry Morales 1B

(79) - Torii Hunter CF
(90) - Josh Beckett SP

(295) - Matt LaPorta LF

Chase Utley at #7 overall? Wha...?! How?!

Were you drafting for a starting MI position? 'Cause otherwise I don't see the point of taking Uggla. (And then the damn computer drafted you even more second basemen.)

You're essentially punting third base. Ian Stewart sucks. Not good.

I like your outfield.

Two of your three RPs may not start the season as a closer.

The first 7 picks went
(1) Team Caine - Albert Pujols 1B
(2) The Jymrats - Hanley Ramirez SS
(3) Team Glossman - Mark Teixeira 1B
(4) Team wille - Alex Rodriguez 3B
(5) Team Shimabukuro - Ryan Braun LF
(6) Team Cohen - Prince Fielder 1B

So, there was a Yanks fan in the draft, obviously.

Also, ignore the smilely. That was meant to say 3B'?'

I think things went very well until the computer took over. If I had to select my least favorite pick it would probably be Torii Hunter at #79. I really like the "unsexy" picks of Lind, Morales, adn Jiminez. I think these guys are usually a little undervalued.
