Here's the deal with the ads: They're out of my control. All of that's handled through out network (Bloguin) and they have a contract with an ad network called Brash that places these things.
Just be aware that the ads are here to support the site. I've got a spiffy new, professionally designed banner that's about to go up at the top of our site. That was paid for with ad money.
I would really, really like to start producing Fantasy Hurler t-shirts sometime this year. (That is, if I get off my ass and finish the designs.) Ideally, we'd have some contests with shirts as prizes. But I need to make enough ad money to pay for them.
To sum up: The ads might be a pain but we need them (and the little revenue they provide) to make the site bigger and better.
