A note to our readers

Heads up, Hurler readers. From this point forward, whenever we publish longish posts, only the first few paragraphs will appear on our front page, not the entire article. To read the full thing, you'll need to click on the "Read More" link at the bottom of the post. When you see that link, you'll know there's more Hurler goodness just a click away.

-- Well, congratulations to the New York Yankees and their fans for capturing their record 27th championship. Aside from a centaur-like lightning 'Rod, it was a surprisingly easy team to not hate. That's about the best I can do for the Yankees. Phillies fans? Fairly equal to the Yankee fans on the Douchebag Meter. How it sucks to be an Indians fan, though, having to watch Cliff Lee and CC Sabathia battle it out. Cleveland, well, doesn't rock anymore.

-- So, Tim Lincecum got busted with a nug in the car? Still believe he missed the 2008 All-Star Game with the flu?

-- Can anyone explain to me just what the hell happened to Sammy Sosa? Cause this looks both amusing and disturbing. So, if using steroids bleaches your skin, will Mark McGwire simply turn invisible in his Cardinals uniform this year?
