Fantasy Errata feels a great disturbance in the Force ... E-mail

-- ... as though thousands of Matt Lindstrom owners cried out in terror and were suddenly silenced. That seven earned run bomb is going to resonate for a while, folks. Unlike a starter, who any decent fantasy player knows will get lit up once or twice and hopefully recover it after a few good starts, it pretty much takes a reliever an entire season to recover from an outing like that (given that instead of 200 innings they pitch, like, 75). Some never do. I remember Smoltz gave up eight in an inning a few years ago, but Lindstrom ain't Smoltz. I'd grab Nunez. Even though in the three Marlins games I've watched, I've seen nothing from him of quality but a mid-90s fastball.

-- The Orioles line-up looks real great if you hold your hand up to the box score and only look at the one through four hitters. Man, the bottom half of that lineup really falls off a cliff. No wonder clean-up hitter Aubrey Huff (all you haters, FUCK OFF! LAST YEAR WAS NOT A FLUKE!) has, like, 20 RBI and five runs scored. I'm exaggerating, but not by much.

-- McCann goes on the DL with an "eye infection?" Huh? Weren't they talking about LASIK and blurriness? Sounds like a made-up bullshit injury to me. After a great start, McCann's been worthless. Like almost the entire MLB catching corps. Basically, only Brandon Inge, John Baker (or whatever the Marlins catcher's name is), and John Buck owners are happy. 'Cuz they picked up their player-rating-leading catchers off the waiver wire.

-- Josh Beckett and A.J. Burnett owners must be crying in their beer together.

-- You've got to start any lefty on your team who's playing in Yankee stadium. I just got done reading an article on the home run totals thus far, and it's amazing. Coors Field East FTW.

-- Anyone else tired of Jimmy Rollins? Alexei Ramirez hit a grand slam and had 5 RBI today, and Prince Fielder went yard twice. Basically Jimmy Rollins is the last goat on any of my fantasy squads. Dude, tell me you're going to turn this around!

-- Got a chance to watch a few of The Cuban Missile's at-bats today. He's seriously a mini Alfonso Soriano.

-- I think Chris Davis has struck out in something like half his at-bats (again, not much of an exaggeration), but at least he's been going deep lately. You know what, I think he's a "sell," not a "buy." Promote his sudden power surge as a sign of things to come and try to move him along with someone else for a third base upgrade. With that many Ks, it may get ugly again real soon.

-- Mariano Rivera can't go more than one inning anymore. Everyone knows this except for the Yankee's manager. Girardi really needs to have a better grasp of his bullpen's capabilities.

-- Why do I have a feeling the Padres are going to rattle off about 15 straight losses?

-- Zack Greinke ... what can I say, I whiffed on that one.

The window to buy Alexei Ramirez is closing fast...all that he needs to do is remain patient at the plate, and let the pitches come to him. He has the base skills to be an excellent shortstop in any fantasy league.
