Looks like he'll be starting the season on the DL. What a disaster. That booming noise you hear is Reyes' ADP dropping so fast it's breaking the sound barrier. At some point in your draft, I suppose he'll be worth taking a gamble on. But right now it hurts my head trying to figure out where exactly that point would be. Not in the top six rounds, that's for sure.

You know, I tend to think he'll be even better value now. This trip to the DL doesn't have anything to do with his legs, and providing he doesn't miss a majority of the season, he should (yeah yeah, should) still perform reasonably well.

You could be right, Lava. Every time his name pops up at Rotoworld, it's like both ends of the high-risk/high-reward equation jump even higher.

Yeah, I wouldn't avoid Reyes. I'd consider him a sleeper now. 2 weeks of a replacement player, then a motivated Reyes returns at full speed?

Now, if he's out for 8 weeks... different. story.

8 weeks is ONE MONTH into the season.... no different than AROD last year... or Utley in the previos year?

If he comes back strong he's money. ESPECIALLY for H2H leagues. Get him at a discount then use him when you need him, the rest of the season...

Personally in a 12 teamer i wouldn't touch him til the 4th round and i'd wanna wait til the 5th or 6th.

oh.... and it could be a 2 week ordeal? There's nothing said it absolutley is 2 months.

He could be out week 1 and good to go the rest of the year, and i heard on espn radio that once its taken care of he wont have problems with it again.

Fifth/sixth round is where I bet he goes in a lot of drafts this weekend. If he's back by the end of April and is healthy the rest of the year, he'll be a huge bargain.

The problem is we're not talking about just the thyroid. We're talking about a guy whose entire value is in his legs who missed most of last year thanks to a recurring hamstring problem. Forget the thyroid. Even ignoring it, Reyes is a risky pick.

I wish there were a way to keep track of the number of fantasy teams a player has destroyed. Reyes would have to be first on that list right?
